About Us

Redeemed is a chapter of the Tribe of Judah. The World of Warcraft chapter was formed in December of 2003 as a place for Christians interested in WoW to fellowshipping with other Christians.

During the open and closed betas, our guild name was God's Peons. We kept the name through the initial release of WoW. As a guild, we decided our first server after retail would be a PVP server. Illidian was chosen and the guild formed under the name God's Peons. Our name was soon found in violation of the Blizzard Terms of Service. Doh! Our guild was disbanded and reformed under the name Choose Joy.

Because our initial guild started on a PVP server under the alliance faction, we could not experience the horde. So we started the Mustard Seed Conspiracy on the PVE Cenarius realm.

Several months after the release, numerous realms suffered from high queue times and latency in game. In an attempt to relieve the load on the game servers, Blizzard opened up realm-to-realm transfers. Illidian was one of these effected realms and we decided at that time to make the move to the Stonemaul realm. During this move, we renamed the guild to Redeemed and this is where the majority of members currently reside. Mustard Seed Conspiracy also took this time to move from Cenarius to Blade's Edge.

Although WoW has only been around since Christmas of 2004, many of our members have been friends and been playing games together for years. Several come from ToJ's Dark Age of Camelot chapter along with several of the other various chapters. Frienships are formed here that last for years and I think that says a lot for a group as disconnected and diverse as we are.

So fire up WoW, stop by Stonemaul or Blade's Edge and make sure to drop one of us a /tell.
